The Fitness Industry is riddled with personal opinions. While some opinions are valid, others we just don’t tend to agree with. There’s nothing wrong with that though, because every person has the right to their own opinion. Without opinions there would be no discussions. Our minds could not grow. Who doesn’t want to grow?
Most of you reading this do some sort of physical activity to help you grow physically. Why not grow mentally as well? The idea that there is only one correct way to think is atrocious! This is why I love fitness. I believe every person’s opinion should matter.
As far as my personal story, I started out as a collegiate athlete competing in track & field as well as men’s Volleyball. Now I compete as a raw powerlifter in the 198lb weight class. You're probably thinking, “How does a person go from volleyball and track to powerlifing?" My response to you would be that I never like to put a limit on what I do. But that's just me. I try different training methods to see what works best for me. I have established countless fitness viewpoints because of the sports I have competed in: speed training, jump training, strength training, crossfit, powerlifting and endurance training to name a few. I also come across people that will argue with every viewpoint I have, but I appreciate the argument because it helps me grow cognitively.
The purpose of this website is to put all those views into the mix and have a healthy discussion about why you feel the way you do. We take a philosophical approach to the fitness Industry that, in my and my partner's opinion, has been lacking. Everyone is quick to jump on the latest fitness trend without even asking themselves why they are doing it. I hope to provide some clarity, motivation and knowledge to each and every one of you that visits our website. But don't be mistaken; this isn't a one way street.
